83 banda masters captured
A sum of 83 people were captured from the capital on Wednesday in course of the banda or general strike declared by those communicating disappointment over the continuous street extension drive in Kathmandu valley.
The 83 banda masters were captured from Kalimati, Kalanki, Maharajgunj and different regions, as per acting Chief of Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu, SP Pradyumna Kumar Karki said. Those captured were discharged tonight.
No untoward occurrence occurred in course of the banda today, police said.
