The District Court – Parsa has sentenced five people including police constables to nine years in jail and slapped a fine of Rs 550,000 each for kidnapping on Thursday.

They were implicated for stealing Rajesh Kumar Sah of Nagawa range of Birgunj Municipality – 19 and requesting pay-off.

On April 5, police constables Arvinda Kumar Singh and Binaya Singh stole Birgunj's gem specialist Sah. They were keeping him in an inn and requesting buy-off for his discharge when the police made the capture.

The court additionally sentenced Bhagawan Singh of Harpatgunj – 8, Deepak Singh Rajput of Chorli – 2 and Brijesh Kumar Singh of Birgunj Municipality – 18 for their inclusion in the wrongdoing.
