No less than three houses were crushed in an enormous fire which broke out at Lakhantari – 7 in Morang the previous evening perpetrating harms evaluated at around Rs 800,000.

The fire gutted the houses having a place with Narayan Mahji, Lalit Thakur and Jhagaru Mahji. The fire began from an electrical short out from the kitchen of Narayan Mahji at 11 pm, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Yogendra Singh Thapa, of District Police Office (DPO), Morang.

The fire was brought under control with help of police and local people at 1 am.
