A man was executed on the spot and 26 others harmed when a night transport veered off the street and dove downhill towards the Kali waterway at Chandibhanyjang the previous evening.

The doomed night transport (Na 4 Kha 5442) heading towards Malangawa from Kathmandu fell no less than 100 meters underneath at 12:40 am, said Superintendent of Police (SP), Deepak Thapa, of District Police Office, Chitwan.

In the occurrence, Dharma Ra Mandal, 33, of Laxmipur Pataha of Siraha region was squashed to death between the seats inside the transport.

Among the harmed 19 are experiencing treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur with five answered to be basic condition. Whatever is left of the harmed travelers returned home after minor treatment.
