NAC restarts Thamkharka flights


The national banner transporter Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has continued flights to and from Thamkharka Airport that lies in the southern piece of hilly locale Khotang.

The NAC flights to Thamkharka stayed suspended since the second week of May because of downpours. A practice run to and from Thamkharka was made on November 5, Airport station chief Narendra Uadas said.

Presently, flights here are in standard operation, he said. The NAC has distributed the Thamkharka flight plan with two flights in a week (Wednesday and Saturday).

The resumption of the flights has profited the general population of 20 VDCs of south Khotang and including of neighboring locale Bhojpur. The area has by and large three airplane terminals. Others two are Lamidanda and Khanidada.
