NEFIN chooses new working board of trustees under Baram
Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has chosen another working board under the administration of Jagat Baram in its Ninth National General Convention held here.
Baram, an applicant from a board constituting a partnership of Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) among the periphery parties vanquished Surya Bhujel from CPN (UML) camp. Baram collected 31 votes to Bhujel's 23 to end up distinctly the following NEFIN Chairman.
In the interim, Nityananda Tajpuriya of the partnership was chosen the General Secretary while Mukunda Pahari was chosen as the Treasurer.
The general tradition which commenced on Saturday finished up just today as it was defaced by question. The NC, Maoist Center, Federal Socialist Forum, Naya Shakti and RPP produced a union against UML to win the top post.
With a changed statute, NEFIN's current 13-part Secretariat has been extended to 21 part, as per NEFIN Chairman, Nagendra Kumal. NEFIN will now have one director, a general secretary and treasurer, eight bad habit chairpersons and 10 secretaries.
